Refined soya oil prices fell 0.66 per cent to Rs 737.45 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators locked-in gains driven by sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April fell by Rs 4.90, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 737.45 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,23,870 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 4.55, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 733.60 per 10 kg in 28,880 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators, subdued demand in the spot market against sufficient supplies from producing regions mainly led to decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
