Amid pick-up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil was trading 0.07 per cent higher at Rs 668.40 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for November traded higher by 50 paise, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 668.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 43,630 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for December edged up by 20 paise, or 0.03 per cent to Rs 674.50 per 10 kg in 51,570 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to uptick in demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
