R&B star Rihanna attended friend and stylist Sonya Benson's wedding in New York.

The bride wore a strapless, ivory lace mermaid-style wedding dress with a long train and carried a bouquet of baby's breath flowers as she and James Markey exchanged vows in front of their loved ones at the NYC City Hall, reported E!Online.

"Yasss!!!! Congrats to my beautiful and crazy @sonyabens on tying da knot!!!" Rihanna, 27, said on Instagram alongside a pic of Benson talking on a cellphone.

"Love you girl!!! James you the real mvp doe! #jimmysonz,"

she captioned.

At the wedding, the singer sported a silk lavender and red floral wrap maxi dress and silver stiletto sandals.
