Robbery worth Rs 11 lakh at engineer's house

Five robbers entered the house of Jaikumar, who works with Jaypee cement company, introducing themselves to women members of the family as acquaintances of the engineer, SP (rural) Dhirendra Gunjyal said.

While Jaikumar was away at work, they held the women and children hostage at gunpoint and fled after looting Rs one lakh in cash and jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh, he said.

Efforts are on to trace them, Gunjyal added.
