Actor-comedian Robin Williams has voluntarily checked himself into a renewal facility to work on his emotional well-being.
The 62-year-old star checked into the center that is affiliated with the 12-step program in a planned move to continue his focus on his ongoing sobriety, the Hollywood Reporter said.
Williams plans to stay at the renewal facility for a couple of weeks following 20 months of back-to-back work projects, his representative said, adding the move is not related to drink or drugs.

"He has been working hard and now has a break in his schedule, so wants to come back and be the best that he can be. This is his version of a retreat," a representative said.
Williams has been open about his trouble with drinking and cocaine use during the early '80s. He sought treatment in 2006 for alcohol abuse.
