DDA, in a recent status report, has said the plan to hand over 14 acres of land out of total 42 acres at Karkari More in East Delhi has "already been approved by DDA Vice Chairman on September 19 and subsequently, this plan shall be ratified in next Technical Committee meeting."
"The approved part layout plan has been forwarded to the Commissioner Land Disposal, DDA, Commissioner Land Management, DDA and Chief Engineer for initiating follow-up action with respect to allotment of land removal of encroachment and demarcation of scheme at site," the report said.
Earlier, the land developing agency had said that it will take almost six more months in carving out a plot for the depot out of a huge piece of land at Karkari More which actually belongs to the Northern Railways and is part of an integrated project.
"Why have you (DDA) not handed over the land to DTC at Karkari More in East Delhi? You had said in earlier affidavits that it will be given and now you are saying that it will take time as the land belongs to an integrated project," the court had said asking DDA to file a fresh status report.
