Rs 3,249 cr disbursed among 1,54,244 PMMY beneficiaries:Drabu

Jammu and Kashmir government has disbursed Rs 3,249 crore among 1,54,244 Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) beneficiaries in the last two years, the state's Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu said today.

"PMYY was launched on April 3, 2015 for credit dispensation to micro enterprises in manufacturing trading and service sector. In J&K an amount of Rs 1663.42 crore was disbursed by scheduled commercial banks to 89708 beneficiaries during 2016-17 and Rs 1586.16 crore among 64,536 beneficiaries during 2017-18," he told the state Assembly here.

Replying to a question by NC MLA Ali Mohammad Sagar, the minister said for Jammu and Kashmir a target of Rs 1748.22 crore for 78,907 beneficiaries was fixed for financial year 2016-17. The target was Rs 2465.20 crore for 1,18,312 beneficiaries for the year 2017-18, he added.
