: Gold worth over Rs 30 lakh was seized by the Customs officials at the airport here and a man who arrived from a Gulf country arrested in this connection, an official said today.
The gold, in the form of foils and totally weighing 973 grams, was kept concealed in a cardboard carton and made to appear like packing material, Customs Commissioner Sumit Kumar said.
The passener hailed from Kozhikode, he added.
