Police seized Rs 6 lakh in cash and liquor worth over Rs 12 lakh in separate incidents here in Maharashtra Thursday, officials said.
A Bolero pick-up vehicle was intercepted at Saifal forest check post in Ghatanji tehsil of Yavatmal district by a team of police personnel who found Rs 6 lakh cash in it, the officials said.

One Pravin Meshram, a resident of Umri village in Kelapur tehsil who was travelling in the vehicle, could not give satisfactory replies to queries about the cash, they said.
The cash was seized and later deposited in the Ghatanji sub-treasury office, the officials said.
In the second incident, liquor worth Rs 12,02,520 was found in a car at a check post at Pimpalkhuti village in Kelapur tehsil, they said.
Investigations were underway in both the cases.
