A committee chaired by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today approved a plan of Rs 607 crore for development of Raigad fort.
Fadnavis said a special and dedicated team of officials will be deputed to implement this development plan as maximum issues are solved in consultations with the Centre, a statement from the Chief Minister's Office said.
For promotion of tourism, Fadnavis also approved a development plan of Rs 234.58 crore for Shri Kshetra Mahurgad and of Rs 93.46 crore for Lonar in Buldhana district.

He sanctioned Rs 438.44 crore development plan for Mhaismal, Verul, Khultabad and Sulibhanjan in Aurangabad district.
Ministers Sudhir Mungantiwar, Pandurang Fundkar, Prakash Mehta, Jaykumar Rawal, Deepak Kesarkar, Ramdas Kadam, Arjun Khotkar were present at the meeting, it added.
