RTO official thrashed for sexually harassing woman

RTO Inspector Manjunath has been taken into custody.

The woman alleged Manjunath asked for her mobile number when she visited his office for vehicle registration. Later, he called her up and made lewd comments.

Enraged over his misbehaviour, the woman complained to her family members, who along with the activists of Kannada Rakshana Vedike, thrashed the RTO, police said.

Manjunath, however, said he has not made any lewd comments.

A case has been registered.
