Ruchi Soya net nosedives to Rs 1 cr in Apr-Jun qtr

Ruchi Soya Industries has posted a sharp fall in its net profit at Rs 1.03 crore during the first quarter of the 2016-17 fiscal on poor sales.

The company's net profit stood at Rs 88.60 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a NSE filing.

Net income declined to Rs 5,001.51 crore in the Apil-June quarter from Rs 6,082.65 crore in the same period a year ago.

Revenue from oils, vanaspati and food products business declined also declined during the period, it said.
