Rudranath temple's door closed for winter

The gates of the famous cave shrine of Rudranath temple were closed today for winter after performing the rituals.

Rudtranath Temple Committee Manager, Anusuiya Prassad Bhat said the gates of this famous pilgrim site has been closed for devotees.

Traditional puja was offered before the gates were closed. The large number of devotees were present at the temple.

The manager further said that Lord Rudranath was taken to Gopinath temple at Gopeshwar in a traditional carriage (Doli). The 23-km long distance will be covered on foot.

Meanwhile, the Gopinath temple is being decorated to welcome the Lord for his winter stay.
