Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST) has taken a decision to provide free meals to all the visiting devotees from January 1 next year to mark the centenary year of Shri Saibaba Samadhi. At present the meals are charged Rs 10.
"Last year around 1.5 crore devotees took benefit of SSST's food donation scheme in the temple town. From January 1, 2017 we will provide free meals to the devotees for a year," one of the trustee's of SSST Sachin Tambe told PTI.
Earlier, devotees standing in a queue for darshan were provided free of cost tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and mineral water, Tambe added.
