Actor Sam Rockwell will host next year's first episode of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on January 13. He will be joined by musical guest Halsey.
SNL made the announcement on their official Twitter handle.
"The biggest of all dreams come true," Halsey tweeted shortly after the announcement. "I can't believe this".

Rockwell, recently received his first Golden Globe nomination in the best supporting actor category for his performance in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri".
Written and directed by Martin McDonagh, the film follows a grieving mother, Mildred (Frances McDormand) who erects the titular signage as a means to light a fire under her local police department after they fail to capture her daughters murderer.
Rockwell, 49, plays Dixon, a reckless, violent-tempered officer whose trajectory intertwines with Mildreds in curious ways.
