Hundreds of activists of the Sambhaji Brigade carried out a unique agitation demanding restoration of reservation for members of the Maratha community and to draw the Maharashtra government's attention to problems faced by farmers in the state.
The activists took out a protest rally to the district collectorate with their footwear on their heads and shouting slogans.
Addressing agitators near the Circuit House where the rally was stopped, Sambhaji Brigade's Konkan region chief gave an ultimatum to the Maharashtra government to solve both the issues before the coming monsoon session of the legislature. He warned that if these issues are not solved, the Sambhaji Brigade would organise another protest demonstration to the house.
