Sanaa Hamri to direct drama pilot 'Studio City'

Sanaa Hamri, who co-executive produced 'Empire', is set to direct a drama pilot 'Studio City'.

Set in present-day, 'Studio City' is a family dramedy inspired by its creator Krista Vernoff's real-life experience growing up as the daughter of a drug dealer to the stars, reported Deadline.

Hamri's series directing credits include 'Shameless', 'Rectify', 'Hemlock Grove' and 'Elementary'.
