Scholarship for meritorious wards of police personnel

Jammu and Kashmir Police today sanctioned scholarships in favour of 63 meritorious school going children of police personnel.

Director General of Police K Rajendra Kumar sanctioned the scholarships worth Rs 1.51 lakh in favour of students who had secured distinction in annual examination of Class 8th and 9th, a spokesman said.

"The objective of granting scholarships is to boost talent among children so that they could compete in different educational streams in future," Kumar said.
