A 14-year-old school student was today crushed to death allegedly by a speeding DTC bus in Sangam Vihar area of South Delhi, triggering violent protests in the area with students damaging a number of buses, police said.
The accident took place at around 1 PM, police said.
After the mishap, large number of students gathered at the spot and pelted stones at around five DTC buses, they said.

Some students also tried to torch the DTC buses but police prevailed upon them and controlled the situation, they said.
The protesters demanded strict action against the driver of the vehicle which was involved in the accident.
"The situation is under control," a police official said.
