A UP Police constable, posted as the driver of Ghaziabad's Superintendent of Police (City), was allegedly shot dead today at a railway station in neighbouring Baghpat district when he was waiting for a train.
Constable Kishan Pal, a native of Baghpat, was waiting for a train to Ghaziabad when he was attacked, police said.
"Constable (Pal) was shot dead by three armed assailants at Baoli Railway station when he was waiting for a train to Ghaziabad. After the incident, the assailants fled from the spot," SP Baghpat Laxmi Singh said.

Singh said a person, Ajit alias Happu, and two others have been named in the FIR lodged by Pal's family members.
Police sources said the constable was murdered over personal enmity, as his elder son is an accused in the murder of Happu's brother two years ago.
