Select base metals drop on reduced demand

Tin, nickel, zinc and copper prices dropped further at the non-ferrous metal market here today on persistent stockists selling amid reduced demand from industrial users.

Tin plunged by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 1,175 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,190.

Copper scrap heavy and nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 435 and Rs 975 from Rs 440 and Rs 980.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap and copper wire bar moved down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 442, Rs 395 and Rs 462 as against Rs 445, Rs 398 and Rs 465 yesterday.
 

Copper armiture and zinc eased by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 423 and Rs 178 from Rs 425 and Rs 180, respectively.

However, brass utensils scrap edged-up by a Re per kg to Rs 301.
