Seven persons out of ten, who were arrested in connection with the October 24 attack on Parui police station OC Prasenjit Dutta, were today granted bail by the CJM court.
The bail petition was opposed by the police, but Chief Judicial Magistrate Indranil Chatterjee's court granted bail considering various aspects of the case, Kuntal Chatterjee, a Suri prosecution lawyer, said.
The OC was attacked at Chowmandalpur village in Birbhum district.

Meanwhile, Nazrul Ali, an ASI of Suri police station, was assaulted by a man when he was asked by a police team to show documents of the bike.
The accused Seikh Javed was arrested by the Suri police.
