Shop owner commits suicide by shooting self

A 27-year-old shop owner allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Sarghana area of the district, police said today.

The deceased identified as Bittu, was living in his in-laws' house in Sarghana area of Meerut district and ran a grocery shop in the locality, police said.

He shot himself at the rooftop of the house yesterday, they said, adding, that the reason for taking the extreme step is yet to be known.
