Shriram Transport Finance today posted a 14.6 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 387.65 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
The company had a net profit of Rs 338.10 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Total income of the company increased to Rs 2,713.20 crore during the quarter, as against Rs 2423.53 crore in the year-ago period, Shriram Transport Finance said in a statement.

The board has declared an interim dividend of 40 per cent or Rs 4 per equity share of the face value of Rs 10 each.
The dividend payout will be on or after November 16, it said.
Meanwhile, the company said its Board has appointed Umesh Revankar as Managing Director following the induction of Jasmit Singh Gujral into Shriram Capital Ltd.
These changes will take effect from October 26, it added.
