SI ends life by jumping in front of train

A 50-year-old special Sub-Inspector of Police allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near here today.

SI Uthama Raj, working in the police control room here, leaped before the train near Tirumangalam station and was killed on the spot, police said.

The reason for his "suicide" was yet to be ascertained, police said, adding investigations were on.
