Six persons including four policemen were injured in a clash that broke out during a religious procession in Sadar area here, a senior official said today.
District Magistrate Masoom Ali Sarvar said that the incident occurred last night when the procession of Barawafat (Eid Milad-un-Nabi) was being taken out without permission in Sadar area.
When the police stopped the participants of the procession, they indulged in brickbats, and police used the force in order to control the situation, he added.
The DM further said that strict action would be taken against those taking out processions without permission.
The injured were being treated in the hospital.
