Six-year-old girl killed in giant wheel crash

A six-year-old girl died and six others were injured when they were thrown to the ground after a bolt holding a passenger car of a giant wheel snapped leading to a collision with another car, police said today.

The incident occurred at a local exhibition here last night.

There were seven girls in the two cars, they said.

Anantapuramu deputy superintendent of police Venkata Rao said while one died, the other six girls suffered minor injuries.

They have been admitted to a private hospital, he said.

The deceased belonged to Siddapuram village.

A case has been registered against the giant wheel operator.
