Small sugar declines on subdued demand

Meanwhile, medium sugar gained marginally on better demand from stockist and retailers.

Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 13 per quintal to Rs 3,612/3,692 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,625/3,692.

However, medium sugar (M-30) inched up by a rupee per quintal Rs 3,692/3,811 as against 3,691/3,811 previously.

The following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,612/3,692 (Rs 3,621/3,692).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,692/3,811 (Rs 3,691/3,811).
