Small sugar prices decline on lower demand

Small sugar prices continued its downtrend at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to subdued offtake from bulk consumers.

While, Medium sugar prices witnessed a mixed pattern of trading amidst bouts of buying and selling.

Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 18 per quintal to Rs 3,082/3,142 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,082/3,160.

Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,200/3,351.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,082/3,142 (Rs 3,082/3,160.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,200/3,351 (Rs 3,152/3,371).
