: Kerala-based South Indian Bankhasbeen awarded ISO 27001: 2013certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS).
VGMathew, MD and CEO oftheBankreceived the ISO 27001:2013 certificate fromVenkataramArabolu, Managing Director, BSI Group India, at an official ceremony at the SIB Building Kakkanad near here, the bank said in a release here.
The certification process involved an extensive audit, conducted by British Standards Institutionagainst the criteria set out by the ISO 27001:2013 standards on various domains of IT functions, it said.

The bank said it had already received ISO 9001 Quality Managementcertification for its CreditDepartment, Personnel Departmentand Data Center.
"Achieving the ISO 27001:2013certification demonstrates our totalcommitmenttobenchmarking our technology framework and processes with international standards, and forms part of our long term vision for security best practices."
