Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker Mubarak Gul today directed the health department to complete the construction of maternity hospital in Srinagar within a specified time.
The health department should speed up the pace of work on construction of Rs 11.54 crore maternity hospital at Noorbagh in Eidgah constituency of Kashmir and complete it within a time frame, Gul said during Question Hour, in response to a question raised by Mohammad Yasin Shah.
The Speaker also asked the health department to make the hospital functional immediately and ensure procurement of machinery, and other requisite equipments.
