SSB constable shot dead during checking drive in UP

A constable of Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB) was shot dead by a person during a checking drive in Tikoni area in the district, police said here today.

Constable Dharmendra Rai, who was posted in third battalion of SSB, was shot dead by Pratap Singh during a checking drive last night, they said.

A case has been lodged and efforts were being made to nab the absconding accused, police said.
