Sugar prices end steady on ample supply

Sugar prices ended on a steady note at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today in the absence of demand from bulk consumers and dealers amid adequate supplies from the mills.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,136/3,221 (Rs 3,136/3,221.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,226/3,391 (Rs 3,226/3,391).
