Sugar prices marginally up on fresh buying

Sugar recorded a moderate rise of Rs 10 per quintal in its prices at the wholesale sugar market in the national capital today as demand picked up from bulk consumers amidst restricted supplies.

Marketmen attributed rise in the sweetner prices to pick up demand from bulk consumers following ongoing festive season along with restricted supplies from millers.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 enquired higher at Rs 3,270-3,470 and Rs 3,260-3,450 from Rs 3,260-3,470 and Rs 3,250-3,450 per quintal.

Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 toos traded higher at Rs 3,120-3,325 and Rs 3,100-3,305 instead of Rs 3,120-3,320 and Rs 3,100-3,300 per quintal.
 

In the millgate section, Nazibabad Ramala and Baghpat rose Rs 10 each to Rs 3,140, Rs 3,150 and Rs 3,160 per quintal, while Sakoti, Chandpur, and Kinnoni were up by Rs 5 each to Rs 3,170, Rs 3,145 and Rs 3,325 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 36.00-38.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 (Rs 3,270-3,470); S-30(Rs 3,260-3,450).

Mill delivery: M-30 (Rs 3,120-3,325); S-30 (Rs3,100-3,305).

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana (Rs 3,200); Kinnoni (Rs 3,325); Asmoli (Rs 3,285); Dorala (Rs 3,190); Budhana (Rs 3,200); Thanabhavan (Rs 3,190); Dhanora (Rs 3,170); Simbholi (Rs 3,320); Modi Nagar (Rs 3,170); Khatuli (Rs 3,280); Dhampur (Rs 3,170); Ramala (Rs 3,150); Bulandshahr (Rs 3,160); Anupshahr (Rs 3,130); Baghpat (Rs 3,160); Morna (Rs 3,150); Sakoti (Rs 3,170); Chandpur (Rs 3,145) and Nazibabad (Rs 3,140).
