West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today paid tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, saying his thoughts were still relevant today.
"Swami Vivekananda's thoughts of over 100 years ago are still so meaningful today: To do good and to be good, that's the whole of religion," Banerjee said in her twitter feed.
"On Swami Vivekananda's birthday, here is another inspirational saying: All power is there within you. You can do anything and everything," the chief minister said.
Banerjee said that state government has declared holiday today, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
