Teacher, primary school official suspended for roof collapse

"The primary school, whose roof collapsed yesterday was sanctioned in session 2011-12 with a budget of Rs 6.72 lakh. Prima facie sub-standard construction material used appears to be the cause of the collapse", a senior official said.

He said the building in-charge and a teacher have been suspended in this connection and an inquiry has been ordered.

No casualty was reported in the incident.
