Teenage boy commits suicide

A 17-year-old boy allegedly spurned in love committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his room, police said today.

As per police, the incident came to light when Mandeep's mother found him hanging from the ceiling fan of his room. No suicide note was found. The deceased had inscribed a girl's name on his arm with a knife.

According to sources, Mandeep, a Class 12 student, was allegedly depressed as his proposal was rejected by a girl whose name was found on his hand.
