An 18-year-old girl was found dead and her friend was hospitalised in critical condition after they allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poisonous substance today in Rajasthan's Jalore district, police said.
The duo was found lying unconscious at a farm in Paoli village under Jaswantpura police station area, police said.
Both were taken to hospital in Bhinmal town where doctors declared Aarti dead while Shrawan Bheel (18) was referred to Gujarat owing to his critical condition, SHO Jaswantpura, Poonam Singh told PTI.
The body of the girl was handed over to the family members after post mortem.
Police have registered the case considering the death occurred under circumstances raising a reasonable suspicion.
