Teenager dies of snake bite

A 17-year-old boy today died of snake bite at his home near Gudalur about 80 km from here, police said.

The 17-year-old boy, doing his plus two, was sleeping in his house having a bamboo roof, when a Russel's viper fell on him from in the early hours, police said.

Even as he was trying to drive it away, the snake bit his neck.
