Teenager girl goes missing in Thane

A class 12th student girl student who had gone to check her final examination results on June 4, has gone missing, police said today.

The girl, 17, a resident of Ambernath here, studied at Mahatma Gandhi High School. On June 4, she had embarked towards school to check class 12 examination results at around 3:30 PM, but did not return home till evening, Shivaji Nagar police station, sub- inspector MB Gaikwad said.

Her family also searched for their daughter in the nearby areas but when they could not find her, a complaint was lodged with the police.

Police have registered a case under section 363 of IPC (kidnapping) and efforts were on to find the girl.
