Tel: Centre gives 1st phase forest clearance to Kaleswaram

The Centre today granted forest clearance to the first phase of Kaleswaram irrigation project in Telangana.

The state government received an official communication on the matter from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests, an official release said.

The Union Ministry giving permission for transfer of 3,168 hectares of forest land for the project is a significant development, it said.

Telangana government aims to complete the project, estimated to irrigate lakhs of acres, by the end of the next year.
