Telangana government has launched a global online campaign to promote Bathukamma, a traditional floral festival, which was recently accorded state festival status.
A special website with information about the festival, besides photographs and videos of celebrations has been launched, an official release said here today.
The campaign launched on social media platforms has received a very good response from Telangana people across the globe, with six lakh people viewing the Bathukamma Digital Campaign on various platforms.
Telangana people in various countries have shared photographs and videos of celebrations on social networking sites.
Arrangements have also been made to webcast Bathukamma celebrations scheduled for October 2 at the picturesque Hussain Sagar lake, the release added.
