Two persons riding a motorcycle pushed down a textile merechant and relieved him of Rs ten lakh and some cheques near here today.
Police said the textile merchant had returned from Kerala after selling his goods and was walking along the road when he was robbed a km from the railway station, early morning, police said.
The two persons pushed him into a nearby drainage and snatched his bag containing the money and some cheques besides clothes before escaping, they added.
