Three family members drowned

drowned while trying to rescue their cow, which had slipped into a tank here, an official said today.

Dharamveer (30), his two nephews Yatendra (29) and Satyapal (27), entered the tank after the cow fell into it in Nagla Chaudhary village at Sadabad area yesterday, Sub Divisional Magistrate Nanku Ram said.

When the trio did not come out for long, a rescue operation was launched and their bodies fished out from the tank, he said.
