Three gamblers held with over Rs 22,000 stake money in Jammu

Three alleged gamblers were arrested and around Rs 22,000 stake money was recovered from their possession at Dashmesh Nagar area here, police said today.

The accused - identified as Dev Raj, Deepak and Mohan Lal - all residents of Gangyal area of Jammu, were arrested yesterday with Rs 22,030 stake money and playing cards after police conducted raids acting on a tip-off, they said.

A case has been registered against the three accused under Gambling Act at Satwari police station, police said adding that investigations are on in the matter.
