A local court has held three persons guilty of murdering a doctor for failing to pay extortion money in Meerut district.
Additional district sessions judge D C Singh found Arun, Ajay and Anuradha guilty under section 302 of IPC and said quantum of sentence will be announced on August 20.
Dr Dinesh Sharma was shot dead on August 6, 2013 by the trio in his clinic when he failed to pay extortion money of Rs five lakhat Behsuma town of Meerut district, government lawyer Jitendra Tyagi said.
Later, the hearing was shifted to Muzaffarnagar court from Meerut on the order of Allahabad High Court.
