Three members of a gang have been arrested for their alleged involvement in various acts of loot in the Jaithera area here, police said today.
Ashif, Vishal and Bunty were arrested yesterday in a police encounter at Fagnol village in the Jaithera area, they said.
The accused have been involved in various incidents of loot here, police said, adding that three country-made pistols were recovered from their possession.
While three of the culprits were arrested, six other members of the gang escaped, they said, adding that the gang might have members from Kannauj, Kanpur and Mainpuri districts as well.
Efforts are on to nab the absconding culprits, police added.
