Three women arrested for allegedly practising witchcraft

Three women were arrested from Mahabuababad town of Warangal district in Telangana state for allegedly practicing witchcraft, a police official said here today.

The Mahabubnagar police sub-inspector said that they allegedly stipped a woman and applied turmeric powder and red kimkum powder.

The woman protested and ran away after which she told her husband who lodged a complaint at the Mahabubabad police station.

The police took the three female witchcraft practitioners into their custody and filed a case.

The arrested women, who are from Giriprasadnagar in Mahabubabad.
