A Trinamool Congress panchayat member was injured after being shot at in Belpahari of West Midnapore district tonight, in continuing stray political clashes in assembly poll-bound West Bengal.
Police said Sintu Saha, member of Hada Panchayat Samity in the block, was on his way back to party office from the panchayat when he was accosted and shot at.
The bullet, lodged in Saha's rib, was, however, later extricated at the Jhargram Zilla Hospital.
