The Trinamool Congress which is for a non-Congress, non-BJP 'federal front' of regional parties in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, today indicated that it would not join the government in the event of its coming to power, but would be its driving force.

"We might work from behind. We will put others in the front. This is our challenge (to provide an alternative at the Centre)," Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee told a panchayat election meeting here.

"Today Bengal is in our control. Tomorrow India will be controlled by Bengal," she said.
